Send and manage invitations

Send an invitation from the Admin Workspace, read what the recipient gets, resend a link, and revoke one.

Send, resend, or revoke an invitation

In the Admin Workspace, Invitations under Access Control tracks the invitations sent within your places. With nothing pending it reads No invitations.

Any one of these:

  • workspace_identity.invite Invite a person into your part of the organization. They arrive where you administer, never above it.
  • invitations.manage Resend and revoke invitations you can already see, within your part of the organization. Sending a new one is a separate capability.

Within the part of the organization you administer, in the Environment selected in the switcher.
Send, resend, or revoke an invitation
Open Invitations from the left nav and click Invite Identity. Enter the email, first name, and last name, choose a role and the place it applies to, and send. An Invitation sent to … toast appears and a pending row is listed. The recipient gets an email with a link to set their password.Click the pending row. The Invitation details drawer shows the role and the Environment it targets.Choose Resend to send a fresh link; an Invitation resent. toast appears.Choose Revoke. The confirmation, Revoke this invitation?, warns that the invitee can no longer use it and that you can always invite them again. Confirm with Revoke invitation; an Invitation revoked. toast appears and the row leaves the pending list.

Each control on this page exists only for someone who may use it. When something described above is missing, one of these is why:

Invitations is not in the left nav. The page opens for anyone holding workspace_identity.invite or invitations.manage in the selected Environment; neither implies the other.Invite Identity is missing but the list shows. You hold invitations.manage, which resends and revokes, but not workspace_identity.invite.Resend and Revoke are missing. You hold workspace_identity.invite but not invitations.manage.An invitation you sent is not listed. The page shows the Environment selected in the switcher; switch to the one the invitation targets.
