Account settings

The account's own details: what identifies your organization across Canopy, and what an administrator can change about it.

Overview

This page is deliberately small. The account is the billing and ownership entity, not a place where the product is configured, so what it holds is the handful of details that identify your organization rather than anything about how access works.

Changes here apply account-wide, across every application and Environment at once. Nothing on this page is scoped to one of them.

What you can change

Two things, and only one of them is editable.

The account name, which identifies your organization across the interface and in the emails Canopy sends on your behalf. The account identifier, which is read-only. It is the reference to quote when you contact support.

What lives elsewhere

Most of what an administrator thinks of as a setting is not here, because it belongs to one Environment rather than to the account: sign-in methods, multi-factor rules, single sign-on, allowed origins, API keys, webhooks. Those are configured per Environment in the Developer Console, by someone holding the developer capabilities. If you are looking for one of them and cannot find it, you are in the right product for people and the wrong one for configuration.

Next Step

One account-level action is not a setting at all, and cannot be undone. The danger zone explains deleting the account.
